In the serie “The Initiate” we witness the transformative moment of a character who seeks his own path, a recurring theme in Serzo’s work. The Prophet (from “The most beautiful story ever told” serie), otherwise, shows us his connection with a reality apparently invisible to ordinary mortals, through an enigmatic figure who seems to speak of a future hidden from the eyes of those who are not connected with said reality. Within the series “Essays for a great work” appears The Optimism Producer, an artifact that radiates a tangible positive energy with which the author intends to connect the user/viewer with that “Increased Sensitivity” that his work exudes.
In all his work, Serzo tells us about the search and the importance of connection:
- With oneself, when the search focuses on listening to the inner voice, ignoring external conditions, sometimes seemingly insurmountable.
- With the Jungian “collective conscious”, which seems to dictate answers to individual problems, making us connect with ancestral knowledge that accompanies those who have the “antenna” to tune into it.
- With a kind form of cosmic energy, which has the ability to transmute the mood.
Therefore, it could be said that Serzo reveals to us in many of his works that connection he has with other realities and that only an artist who experiences in person an “Increased Sensitivity” is capable of transmitting.
